This activity is a simple way for students to engage with new vocabulary while working in the farm animal theme. Students need to cut out the words at the bottom of the page and then paste them in the correct place around the animal. There is one sheet per animal. Animals: chicken, cow, goat, goose, horse, pig, sheep

For younger students or students who require more assistance, spend time talking about the activity and get them to point out where each label must go before they begin the activity.

For learners who are able to complete these activities easily, get them to make their labeled picture the centre of a poster or mind map. They should then draw and write any other information or interesting facts they know about the animal. The posters or mind maps can be used as part of a classroom display. You could give different students different animals to complete. This will add some variety in your classroom display.

I have included a colour version and a black and white version of each sheet. I have also included answer sheets at the end. Please note that some of these sheets are in other animal specific resources in my store. E.g. Label the cow is in my cow themed pack in my store.

In my store I have a number of other farm themed resources. My set of farm animal posters compliment this activity well as they too have farm animals labeled on them.
